The railway line from Palmerston North runs down at an angle from the top of the photograph, near the left hand corner, and then across to the right hand side. The road from Ashhurst runs from the mid-point of the left hand side up towards the railway line. The Bunnythorpe sub-station can be seen in the lower left hand corner of the photograph and the buildings near the junction of the Ashhurst roads and the railway line is not he disused Glaxo milk powder factory
