This image was published in the August 20th 1978 edition of the Tribune weekly newspaper with the caption: “In the photograph, Wendy Craig (right) signs the tenancy agreement watched by other people concerned with the project: from left they are Adrienne Baird, Ireen Mapiva, Vanуа Liamass (the youngest present), Sandra Duff, Ivan Llamass, Sharon Davis, Kiely Duff, and Misty Duff.”

The short article read: “Community volunteers have signed the lease on behalf of Farnham Avenue residents for their Housing Corporation-owned community centre. As a result of a story in the ‘Tribune’ on June 25 challenging service clubs to aid projects in their own areas, one such club offered to donate labour, and possibly equipment, to fit out the community centre. ‘Other offers of help will still be appreciated’, said Sandra Duff, chairperson for the Farnham Park Community House.”
