Berger's paint display at Clark and Thompson. Alexander Clark Ltd was founded in 1905 when Alexander Clark moved to Palmerston North from Dunedin. 1907 to 1917 traded with a partner as Clark & Thompson. Auckland firm Phillips and Impey took over Alexander Clark Ltd in 1978.
