This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 24 June 1958, page 18: "One of the World's foremost dress designers, who is obviously aware of the versatility of wool, introduced a new fashion interest when he designed this gown. Fashioned on the princess line with a deep encrusting of semi-precious jewels forming a front panel and continuing around the base of the skirt, the gown is fashioned in cream wool. An interesting feature is the head-dress and veil which are also created from the same material."
