Miranui Flaxmill was owned by A & L Seifert Flaxmilling Company Ltd and opened in 1907. This view is taken from the railway, looking east towards the Tararua Ranges. The scutching shed is the white building on the left in the background; the shipping shed is the gabled building in the middle distance, and the sleeping quarters are on the right in the background. The road in the foreground is the main Shannon-Tokomaru road. Note the locomotive in the left middle distance.
