Hospital centennial committee chairman Gordon Cumming unveiled the sculpture by Palmerston North artist Paul Dibble. It had been placed in the main foyer of the hospital. Mr Cumming said the sculpture, which symbolises a patient and health professionals, was the final gesture from the centennial committee, which last year erected a centennial banner in the hospital chapel.
