This image from the Berry Family collection is a glass negative of a printed family portrait. Although not stated, it is entirely possible that it depicts the first of the five children of Edwin Daniel (founder of Berry Engineering) and Elizabeth Berry. Their first three children were all born within a year of each other:
• Edwin John Horace Berry, b.1898
• Rimu (Reme) Ruahine Victoria Berry (later Perkins) b.1899
• Francis (Frank) Leslie Berry b.1900Edwin snr and Elizabeth's other two children were born in 1906 (Zenas Jefferson Berry) and 1910 (Tryphena Harriet Elizabeth).
