Description

The purpose of this guide, which was created by the Palmerston North City Council in June 1996, was to "outline the principles for the design of housing in residential parts of the city... It provides information and suggestions to assist you in designing or altering your house in a way that maintains its character, complements neighbouring dwellings and enhances the distinctive character of your street." Styles covered include: Cottage, Victorian Villa, Transitional Villa, Californian Bungalow, English Cottage Style, Spanish Bungalow, State House, Post-War Bungalow and Ranch Style.
