Designed by L G West and Son and built in 1917, this building was erected as a soldier's club, for those returning from WWI. It was later occupied by the RSA ( Returned Soldiers' Association). The ground floor was converted to a restaurant in 1970 and is now known as Cafe Cuba.

This photo was taken by Caleb, Sam and Natalie of the Manawatū Home Educator's network as part of a session with the Heritage team at Palmerston North City Library.
