Description

Charles Dahl's factory, manufacturing ropes, tents, horse covers, tarpaulins, oilskin clothing and shirts, was situated in Main Street east, between The Square and Princess Street, on part Section 15. Charles Dahl (4th from right) set up a tent making business in 1885. He later sold his business to the Manawatu Canvas Company.
