Description

This photograph was taken when the this area of land (now Gordon Kear Forest) was bought from the Argyle family. It was a sheep farm before trees were planted. Note the Tokomaru Gorge in the = center back of the image leading to Mangahao, part of the Te Araroa Walkway (which runs the length of New Zealand track).
