Rongotea School Centennial Celebrations Parade

Rongotea School celebrated its centennial at Easter weekend, April 18-19 1981. The school was opened March 28 by the headmaster, Mr F Whitcombe. The school, known as the Campbell-town School, had a roll of 11. The Centennial Parade through Rongotea ended at the school, where a roll call and decade photographs were taken. In this photograph, former pupil of the 1891-1900 class Mr Neil Rowe (aged 88) takes part in the Centennial Parade.
