Description

Local historians weekly "Back Issues" article in the Manawatū Standard. History of the Longburn Railway Line 1871-1959. Since 2016, the Bainesse and Districts Community Development Trust has been working to establish the Foxton-Longburn Railway as a recreational rail pathway honouring the area's history. When completed, it will provide tourists with another option as they travel the width and breadth of the North Island.
