At an unknown location in or near Palmerston North. Mr Milson – back row, black hat; Alphonse Rogers – on horse; Charlie Batterley – far left,; Mrs Parr; Mrs Gore – partly turned to the right; Harry Wiggins – white chin whiskers; Dodd - ? black whiskers and stick in front row. Mrs Parr and Mrs Gore are sisters whose husbands came from Newbury, England. Wiggins was also from Newbury where he was a blacksmith.
