This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 06 September 1960 "Seventeen nurses received their State nursing medals at the graduation ceremony held last evening at the Palmerston North Hospital. They were (from the left): Back row, Nurses E.H. Maas, P.M. White, F.F. Mangin, P.A. McLeod, N.C. Sage, S.M. Saunders, and M.R. Jourdain; centre row, Nurses P. Cadwallader, J.E. Ammundsen, H. Dalzell, J.A. Slater, A.E. Smith and C.H.M. Guy ; front row, Nurses R.E.A. Staples, K. Collins, L.A. Logie and G.S. Brown. Nurse B.A. Rodger gained a medal but was absent from the ceremony."
