This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 3rd December 1965 "Leaner tables and ample seating have been provided in the public bar of the new Awapuni Hotel. Attention has been pain in the decor of the bar, including brown and white calf hides facing the bar itself"
