Florists at work on the arrangements for the Royal Civic Reception held in the tearooms of the C.M. Ross building. The floral arrangement included 1000 roses, 800 carnations, 800 gladioli and more. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, visited Palmerston North 6-7 January 1954. L-R: V.
