A letter written on behalf of the Royal Visit Committee acknowledging the loan of silver to be used at the Royal Dinner, on the occasion of the visit of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. The Royal couple visited Palmerston North 6-7 January 1954, as part of their tour of New Zealand. They stayed at the Grand Hotel, and a Royal Civic dinner was held in the C M Ross Co. Ltd tearooms in the evening.
