The SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) garden party to raise funds was held at 'Nettleworth', Ihaka Street, Palmerston North, the home of the President, Mr W Jacques, to which the children from the Polish Children's Camp in Pahiatua were invited. Standing: Headmaster of Polish Children's Camp and Mr William Jacques, President of the SPCA and Chairman of the Polish Children's Camp Board of Guardians.
