SPCA garden party to raise funds

The SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) garden party to raise funds was held at 'Nettleworth', Ihaka Street, Palmerston North, the home of the President, Mr W Jacques, to which the children from the Polish Children's Camp in Pahiatua were invited. Standing: Headmaster of Polish Children's Camp and Mr William Jacques, President of the SPCA and Chairman of the Polish Children's Camp Board of Guardians. Seated: Miss Mervid, Mrs Ann Jacques and Mrs Tietza. At front: Children from the Polish Children's Camp at Pahiatua who dance their national dances.

The SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) garden party to raise funds was held at 'Nettleworth', Ihaka Street, Palmerston North, the home of the President, Mr W Jacques, to which the children from the Polish Children's Camp in Pahiatua were invited. William Jacques was a lecturer at Massey Agricultural College, and was also Chairman of the Polish Children's Board of Guardians.
