Compilation of movie footage and still photographs of the construction and opening of the Miniature Railway in the Esplanade Gardens, put together by Vernon Smith. Movies were taken by Vernon Smith's father, Wallace Smith. Notable people who attended included Des Black (Mayor of Palmerston North), Joe Walding (MP for Palmerston North), Julia Wallace (City Councillor) and Relda Familton (TVNZ announcer).

Leslie and Clarice Weston-Webb lived in Bunnythorpe with their three children, Roland (b.1932), Barbara (b. 1935) and Audrey (b.1937). Leslie Weston -Webb ran the Bunnythorpe Garage. After he died in 1942 the family moved to Palmerston North. Leslie was a keen movie maker and showed his movies to the All Saints Children's Home and the Willard Home.

Footage includes scenes of the Weston-Webb's family life: ironing; biking; swimming; sawing logs; pets; hanging out the washing; children playing; Esplanade; beach; horse riding; Leslie Weston-Webb funeral. The young blonde curly-haired young girl is Audrey Weston.
