Ola Persson Dahlstrom outside his farmhouse, Whakarongo

Built 1890 on Roberts Line and demolished around 1954 the farmhouse was the second to be built on the property. It was made of totara, which was incorporated into the house Ola Persson Dahlstrom is shown with his horse, Nugget and dog, Dandy. A bricklayer, Dahlstrom arrived at Stoneycreek about 1876. The cottage was later owned by Leo S Burr.
