Souvenir women's powder compact with attached Palmerston North 'City Crest'

Description

A souvenir gold plated? powder compact featuring the Palmerston North 'City Crest'. The crest features gold, red and green colour on a black background and includes the words 'City of Palmerston North' and 'Palmam Qui Meruit Ferat'. The metal compact is 80mm across with a spring loaded catch. The interior has a round mirror and a powder puff embroidered with 'Melissa' (interior not shown). The compact is one of a number of items commissioned by the Palmerston North City Council as gifts to give away to visiting dignitaries.
