First Occidental Hotel, corner of The Square and Fitzherbert Street
- Description
The first Occidental Hotel was built on the corner of Fitzherbert Street (now Avenue) and The Square in 1887. It burnt down in September of 1891 and was replaced by a very similar building which was also destroyed by a fire in 1927.
