Description

The Railway Station and Post office appear in left centre, with the windmill behind. The top of the engine shed can be seen behind the station buildings. On the extreme right centre can be seen a goods shed. The photograph appears to have been taken from the balcony of the Commercial Hotel, on the corner of Main Street west and The Square, and looks eastward. The Palmerston North Ready Money Store stood on section 663 in The Square.
