Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 01 June 1961 "Members of the Simon Peels' Accordion Orchestra (Wellington) will bring their instruments for the concert under the auspices of the Feilding Community Centre next Sunday night. This amateur combination will be assisted by the Continental Trio of Simon Peels (accordion), Alex Osvath (violin) and Graham Saker (bass). The orchestra, which has as one of its objects the raising of the status of the piano-accordion in the world of music, has for some years been featured on the opening night of the Wellington Competitions, and has given many programmes at hospitals and for charitable causes."
