Description

Dr Penman came to Palmerston North in April 1979 to take up his first parish appointment as vicar of All Saints Church. He was a missionary in the Middle East for 12 years and spent three as principal of the Church Missionary Society College in Melbourne. He left the city in April 1982 to take up a position as one of Melbourne's three regional bishops. For a full report, see the Evening Standard 20 April 1982, p 25.
