The former Ashhurst Post Office was built in 1897. In October 1991, the building was purchased by the Palmerston North City Council and became a branch of the Palmerston North City Library.
This image is derived from a copy negative made from a photograph that was loaned for copying. The original photographic print is not held by the Ian Matheson City Archives.
