The Hotel Princess, originally built as the Family Hotel by Willam Deards in 1874, was soon renamed and remained the Princess Hotel for most of its life. In c1979 this building was demolished and rebuilt as the Princess Tavern. It still operates today at 789 Main Street, as Terrace End's oldest business still on the same site.
