Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 3 December, 1959. “Gracefully completing a figure-of eight is Mrs J. Meech, the winner of the mothers’ section of the figure skating at the Palmerston North indoor roller skating championships held in Feilding last weekend. This competition is somewhat unique, yet a large number of mothers have shown interest in the instructional sessions held by the club’s coach, Mr Ray Russell. In the background are the other four competitors in Saturday’s championships.”
