Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 15 January, 1964. "White capped surf dwarfed this man and son as their patiently dragged a net through the shallows at Waitarere Beach. Up and down they paced, each intent and keeping hold of a corner of the net. Not so intent, however, was their dog who playfully insisted on trying to thwart their fishing efforts."
