Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 6 October 1956 : "More than a dozen would-be swimmers attended the Municipal Baths today as part of the "Learn to Swim" campaign being conducted by the Manawatu Swimming Centre. The campaign opened last week with nightly sessions and has been an outstanding success, according to officials, with many young children taking advantage of the offer. The campaign still has a fortnight to run."
