This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 21 December, 1959. “Yesterday the members of the Palmerston North Jaycee erected large signs on three highways leading into Palmerston North. It is hoped to erect one at Fitzherbert shortly. The party is seen after erecting one of the signs.”
