This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 10 June, 1959. "The Jaycee Committee, under the leadership of Mr H. Harrod, who organised the recent Art Gallery appeal in Palmerston North. The success of their efforts was shown when a cheque of 2015 pounds 7 shillings 6 pence was presented to the Society of the Arts at its annual meeting last night. From left are Messrs J. Walding (president of Jaycee), H. Harrod (organiser of the appeal), T. Coulter, L. Young, I. Madden and J. Ryan. Mr K. Robinson, the other member of the committee, was unable to be present."
