This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 12 March, 1959. "Mr M. F. McDonald, M.Agr.Sc., at present assistant-research officer in sheep husbandry at Massey College, to whom a two year scholarship has been awarded. He hopes to gain his Ph.D. degree at Cambridge University, where he plans to continue his present studies in fertility in sheep. Mr McDonald gained his present degree while a student at Massey College."
