This image was taken for a story that ran in the Manawatu Evening Standard on 18 April 1963, "As a result of a two-day street stall, the Kauri Street troop of the Red Shield Cub Pack raised the sum of £ 4. With collections from the remainder of the Red Shield Pack, a total sum of £ 7 was collected. This amount was handed last night to Mr. H. Dash, the secretary of the finance committee of the local branch of Corso. The money will go towards the Freedom From Hunger Campaign. From the left are Mrs. S. J. Parkes, convener of the women's committee of the local branch of Corso, Mr. Dash, E. Clayton, R. Bycroft and M. Sutherland."
