Description

'Willowbank' was the farm of John Octavius Batchelar, on the banks of the Manawatu River, just over the town bridge, in Fitzherbert West. The family farmed there c1878 - 1925, when it was sold to the Government for the establishment of Massey Agricultural College. Jos Batchelar was one of the children of J O and his wife.
