Description

This souvenir for the Palmerston North Centenary contains a commemorative drivers license holder and card as well as four colour prints of Palmerston North locations. The first colour print shows 'Totaranui', said to be one of the oldest residential properties in Palmerston North. This shifted to The Square during the centennial celebrations of 1970 - 1971. It was later moved its current site outside Te Manawa Museum in Church Street. In the same image is a replica of the "G M Snelson" store. It is based on the first grocery store in Palmerston North, built by George Snelson in 1871.
