This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 2 April, 1959. "The Leader of the Opposition (Mr Holyoake) officially opened the new police station at Pahiatua yesterday afternoon. The photograph shows Mr Holyoake opening the door. With him is Chief Inspector F. G. Edwards and Mrs Holyoake."
