This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 6 June, 1959. "One of the many amenities at the Manawatu Automobile Association's new building in Broadway Avenue, is the display cabinet giving members easy access to the booklets on roading in the Dominion. Prior to the official opening of the building some of the visitors became engrossed in the booklets which were on display. In the background, the president (Mr W. H. Brown) chats with a fellow council member (Mr H. Rowe). The three visitors are, from left: Mrs M. A. J. Duddridge, of Wellington; Mr L. O. R. Hulbert, of Wanganui, and the president of the Wanganui Automobile Association (Mr. W. E. Fossette)."
