This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 11 November 1960 "Mrs. G. Wright, of Pirie Street, Palmerston North, who was one of the original shareholders in the Manawatu Consumers' Co-operative Society, has been dealing with the company since 1935. Today Mrs. Wright, together with the other original shareholders, was remembered on the occasion of the silver Jubilee of the company and received a gift to mark the occasion. In the photograph are (from the left): Mr. F. Betteridge, who presented the gift to Mrs. Wright, Mr. Wright, and Mr. D.H. McColl, the chairman of the directors in the society."
