This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 28 November, 1959. “Some of the toys displayed by Mrs A. E. Prior (Halcombe) at the provincial meeting of the W.D.F.F. held in Palmerston North. Since 1945 Mrs Prior has made and distributed over 2000 toys to hospitals, children’s homes, the Welfare Department and the Levin Children’s Home. This year to date Mrs Prior has made 300 toys.”
