This image was taken for a story that ran in the Manawatu Evening Standard on 25 May, 1963. "Sergeant P. Reldy, who brought the Boys' Brigade relay message into the city last night hands it over to the new message-bearer (Lance-corporal N. Morgan). The boy runners were welcomed by the Mayor at the clock tower."
