Description

Just before the Easter break 2019 the local community organised a successful event to bring people's attention to the Owen Street playground and increase the usage and visibility of this asset. A team of three - Bunnythorpe resident Amy Philips, Emergency Management Officer Ingrid Chamberlain and Community Advisor Julia Panfylova, put together an event at the playground and coordinated the contribution of the locals. Around 90 people turned up and spent an amazing morning together. There was a couple in bunny costumes, local singer with her beautiful voice and acoustic guitar, an egg hunt and an activity around emergency management for families. And of course, the favourite attraction at all events is a free sausage sizzle.
