Wire ropes across the Manawatu River from Broad & Ingram's Flaxmills at Neville Point
- Description
The photograph was taken from the Rangitikei side of the river looking across to the left bank of the river. The hemp storage shed in the foreground was still standing in 1963. The two Broad and Ingram Flaxmills (Puke and Kiwi) were upstream from the wire rope (to the left of the picture). Charlie Ingram is standing at the bottom of the ladder. The man on the platform is thought to be his brother Bob Ingram
