The Square looking towards Main Street West from Square Gardens Fountain
- Description
The large building in the background is Coles Building, on the corner of Main Street West and the Square. This site is now occupied by the Council Administration Building (CAB), which is the PNCC headquarters. On the opposite side of the Street is the old wooden Commercial Hotel. A new building was built later, but the business remained. It is now the home to a pizza shop (Roma's). In the foreground is the fountain which became the Edward VII Coronation Memorial. This fountain has been moved several times and is now located at the corner of the Square nearest to Broadway Avenue.
