The celebrations for 75 years of Palmerston North included a 'Jubilee train', pictured here leaving The Square and heading down Main Street, on Wednesday 19 March. It depicted the arrival of the first train from Wellington at the site of the original train station in The Square. To the right can be seen the Coles building on the corner of The Square and Main Street, and in the distance the T and G tower and Post Office.
