Lydia Burr was born to Amos and Lydia (nee Hoskins) Burr on 15 September 1856, near Foxton. She was christened by Bishop Selwyn. Lydia later married Harry Flyger and settled in Palmerston North. She died on 28 June 1930, aged 73, predeceasing her mother by two months.
