This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 1st December 1965 "The Palmerston North Public Relations Officer (Mr. P. Brunton) and his assistants, Misses G. Bayer and I. Watford, had a change of jobs today when they had to unload 4000 sticks of candy at his office. The sweets are to be distributed free by a party of clowns to children in the city on the two late shopping nights (December 17 and December 24). This gesture towards the children is part of the P.R.O.'s "Brighter Christmas Shopping" campaign."
