Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 29th March, 1963. "The floral art group of the Palmerston North Horticultural Society opened its first night of the season with an all Japanese evening. Above is the exquisitely robed Japanese doll, dressed by Mrs J. Bennett (back), a Japanese woman now residing in Palmerston North. This added authentic flavour to the arrangement with mossy twigs and crocuses in the Moribana tradition, exhibited by the president (Mrs L. Scott)."
