This image was taken for a story that ran in the Manawatu Evening Standard on 18 July, 1963. "Yesterday, Mrs. Hisako Arai and Miss Masako Ueda, who were in the city to demonstrate Japanese cooking, were shown over the food technology division of Massey University College of the Manawatu. There they are seen on the steps of the college with members of the Meat Board and other divisions. From the left are Mr H. M. Linklater (Federated Farmers), Mr G. Wallace (assistant-head of the food technology department), Mr P.D. Hewland (director of public relations for the Meat Board) Mr L. P. Chapman (dairy research institute), Miss J. Bryan (senior home science tutor at Victoria University, Wellington), Miss Arai and Miss Ueda."
